Producer of this tea: Chisako Mizota

Chisako Mizota-san has been making tea for 68 years. She and her husband started their own farm, followed by their own shop to sell their products. Recognition built over the years with numerous awards from the tea world and Japanese government.

Mizota-san and her husband grew the business into a family business, which today is run by Mizota-san’s grandchildren. Mizota-san remains active inthe family business, and the philosophy behind it has remained the same since the start: to produce outstanding tea that everyone can enjoy.

The care that the family puts into their product is clear in their ceremonial grade matcha, stone-milled following traditional techniques to produce an umami-rich cup that is simply delicious.
